To rent a car with us, the driver must have a valid full driver’s license. All drivers should be 21 years old and above. Additional insurance excess will apply if the driver’s license was issued less than 12 months and if driver/s are 21-25 years old.
If your license is not in English, an International Driver’s Permit (IDP) is required along with your native driver’s license. We reserve the right to request additional documentation as needed.
Our daily rates include low risk insurance coverage with a damage excess. You have the option to opt out and standard insurance will apply (NZ$4500 excess). Please note, coverage exclusions apply, such as (but not limited to) off-road driving or driving under the influence. For more details, please ask us or refer to the terms outlined in your rental agreement.

A valid driver’s license and an additional form of ID may be required upon pickup. Renters over 75 years old may be required to provide a medical certificate confirming their fitness to drive.

We understand plans can change. To cancel or modify your reservation, please contact us at least 48 hours before your rental pickup to avoid any cancellation fees. Cancellations made within 48 hours of your scheduled pickup will incur a 50% fee of the total rental cost. For no-shows or cancellations on the day of pickup, the full rental cost will be charged. If you need to extend your rental, please notify us at least 24 hours in advance to check vehicle availability.
